Experience
Frank’s project experience includes solar, gas, coal, cogeneration, storage, wind, geothermal, nuclear, and other power projects; manufacturing facilities; professional sports arenas; solid waste and other environmental facilities; and other large, capital-intensive infrastructure projects. He has advised lenders, developers, equity investors, equipment manufacturers, off-takers, and governmental agencies.
In addition, Mr. Shaw has counseled companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations on general corporate matters, including loan documentation, equity investments and commercial contracts.
After three decades in private practice, primarily at Skadden, Frank went in-house with long-time client First Solar, Inc., where he hired and led a team responsible for financings, M&A, joint ventures, module sales, securities regulation, and corporate legal matters. He provided strategic, commercial, policy, and legal advice to the company’s general counsel, finance, sales and executions groups, and executive leadership team. In 2025, he returned to private practice, through Shaw Legal Solutions.
